“I” IS ALWAYS AT THE CENTRE OF EVERY SIN. A KINGDOM OF SELF IS SELF-DESTRUCTIVE. ONE THAT REFUSES TO CONQUER SELF WOULD BE CONQUERED BY IT.
Selfishness is known by many descriptions; selfish (self-centred, self-absorbed, self-indulgent, self-interested), inconsiderate, greedy, egocentric, conceited, egotistic, and vain. Self ‘ish’ people do not see anything else that is going on around them because of the emphasis and the ballooned value they have placed on themselves. An inflated ego just like a balloon will end up in one of three ways. It can either be carefully deflated by someone; be burst open; or the trapped gas left to slowly self-release. One thing is clear; it will not always remain inflated.
Selfish individuals are abandoned often by friends and family and become isolated. If you think you are selfish, humble yourself so that God would not have to make other people humble you. If you refuse to humble yourself, just like a balloon, a tiny needle (not a hammer) is all it takes to for it to explode and shred into pieces. So you must have to overcome self and become selfless.

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others (Philippians 2:3, 4 NKJV).

Lord you know my heart and my desire. I repent of any selfish feelings and actions of my past. I ask that you give me a tender heart and a desire to serve others and be a blessing to them in Jesus name, Amen.
